Regular Chlamydia Test is Repro Health SOP
What not everybody knows is that just one exposure to sexual intercourse makes him and her immediately susceptible to acquiring sexually transmitted disease. That it is the ‘first time’ is not any exemption from contracting the disease. Any first time is as good as a sex addict’s chances of contracting this dreaded sexually transmitted disease.
The fact that Chlamydia is called the “silent epidemic” says so much about its notoriety and its widespread reach.
The United States charts this as the number one bacterial sexually transmitted disease to date. The STD is silently creeping infection amongst teenagers and young adults. And despite of knowing that they have been infected by this enemy that lurks between the sheets, infected people treat the disease silently too, leaving it untreated.
Carriers of Chlamydia often think the disease will just vanish like cough and colds. But leaving simple cough and colds untreated can lead to the fatal pneumonia. Untreated Chlamydia can easily be transferred to infants if the disease was no treated in time during pregnancy. The disease can cause serious disabilities to a woman’s reproductive organs that in turn can lead to worse health risks such as ectopic pregnancy and infertility.
Because of the varying ways Chlamydia affects men and women; it can increase the risk of the carrier to HIV.
Whatever which way, there is a need to subject one’s self to a Chlamydia Test. The mere fact that one has had sexual intercourse is reason enough to have regular tests.
And because the heightened liberal culture has weakened the conservative outlook on premarital sex, the government, non-government organizations, reproductive health practitioners, educational institutions, families and other important societal units need to contribute to sufficiently inform the youth and young adults about the prevention, symptoms, and cure of sexually transmitted diseases.
